Easter Eggs, I thought they were a non-Christian symbol for this time of year. Maybe related to the spring time. But I found out that the first Easter eggs were indeed made by Christians and they were dyed red to symbolize the blood of Christ. As Easter is the day of the resurrection of Jesus after his crucifixion on holy Friday. I also read it is a symbol of an empty tomb.
In my garden I have this huge cherry tree. And every year it is a *thing* for us and our surrounding neighbors to see it blossoming. Sometimes it is so abundant with blossom that we all place pictures of it on Facebook or Google+. It never gets old. Maybe because the blossoming is for such a short period. Now it is turning slowly every more green.
In every part of the world we may have mixed feelings when we find ourselves confronted with bugs, spiders and ants and well really; any kind of insect. But there is one species that stands out. One insect we all embrace and love. Wherever you are you will find people that start to smile when they see a butterfly.

Lydia Courteille has managed to surprise me once again. This time heading away from the slightly darker designs and heading to a happier animal world!
There is always that first evening, when just before dawn you hear a blackbird sing for the very first time again. It fills my heart with joy every spring. That first song, the first shy signs of new life. The little lambs that seem to be everywhere right now. The blossoming of the trees. Flowers slowly popping out everywhere.
Valentine’s Day is about love. Yes, definitely. But this wasn’t always the case. It has a long history which has nothing to do with love but everything with lovely storytelling :-). The origins of this *tsunami of love day* are found in the Cristian culture.
So in Italy people are obsessed with style and with accessories. And they are amazingly good at creating the most fantastic designs. Also, many of the *ordinary people* just have this innate sense of style.
