I recently had the opportunity to speak about trends in our industry. One of those trends is phygital, the merging of virtual and reality.  We expect lots of new AI tools, a further and deeper dive into the virtual possibilities, and AR to influence our jewelry industry. Blockchain, NFT, Metaverse, it's all here and will become part of our lives soon. In this blog, I want to take you into the world of ChatGPT. A very useful AI text tool that can make the life of a jewelry business owner so much easier!

As I mentioned in the intro text, I recently had the pleasure of discussing trends in the jewelry industry at a jewelry show. When I asked the crowd if they had heard of ChatGPT, only a few shy hands were raised. My initial thought was that one must go the extra mile to miss the hype, as the AI tool appeared on all news sites. But I also understand that there is another problem. Not all of us are familiar with and willing to adapt to new digital technologies and tools. And for some, AI sounds just a little creepy. I get it! Some applications of AI can give you a little bit of an uneasy feeling. But trust me, if you apply something like ChatGPT, you will mostly notice how it can support you.

Jewelry business content creators should not be afraid to use AI tools

Creating content using a tool is a little secret of all content creators. We all use different tools and platforms to create content to show our brand and our skills, or it may even be our job to create it for others. 

And I understand that many people whose job is to create content for others are a little worried about the future of their jobs. But here is the thing: there is no problem at all in sharing the ''secret'' of using an AI tool! As great as they are, they do miss the human touch, and they are not aligned perfectly with a brand's image or vision, so they are just an excellent tool for creating a first draft of content and text. Use it as a tool, not as a replacement. It can help you save time and get more things done. Don't fear AI; use it to your benefit!

To give you a more insightful idea of what AI can create, the text underneath is created mainly by using ChatGPT. I checked it and used Grammarly - a spelling-check tool I always use. Then I checked the facts and took out the errors. I left it without adding my ''personal touch and tone of voice'' to give you a good impression of what the text looks like, according to ChatGPT when asked to write about content creation and how ChatGPT can be used. I wanted to include why regular content is essential, what ChatGPT can do, and some warnings and hands-on practical advice.
