I am flying from Amsterdam to Las Vegas, again, and I can’t wait.

This will be my third year attending the JCK show, and every time, I feel the same buzz of excitement. If you're in the jewelry world, you'll understand. If you’re not, let me try to take you with me for a moment. Because this is not just a trade show. It's a world of its own.

Let me start by saying that in the Netherlands, we have a saying: Doe maar gewoon, dan doe je al gek genoeg. It loosely means, “Just act normal, that’s already crazy enough.”

Well, Las Vegas looked at that saying and said, “Hold my cocktail.”

JCK is everything but normal. It’s extravagant, energetic, and larger than life, and I love every bit of it. With over 1,900 exhibitors and nearly 20,000 attendees from across the globe, the show is a dazzling celebration of jewelry, creativity, connection, and business.

A Unique Vibe

Compared to European trade shows, JCK has a very different vibe. Yes, it’s professional, yes, it’s about business, but there’s an energy that’s somehow more open, more enthusiastic, more... Vegas. From the very first breakfast event to the final concert night, it’s a whirlwind of learning, meeting, admiring, and celebrating.

This year promises to be even more spectacular.

• Facets, the heartwarming event for Jewelers for Children

• Plumb Club Gala, a sophisticated evening of networking and fine dining (by invitation only)

• JCK Talks, with over 50 sessions on everything from AI in retail to sustainability and marketing trends

A Community That Inspires

What keeps me coming back isn’t just the jewelry (although let’s be honest, that’s a big part of it). It’s the people. The community. The chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new faces, and hear incredible stories behind brands and collections. It’s the conversations over coffee or at a crowded booth that spark new ideas and collaborations.

There’s always something to learn, always someone to meet, always a new discovery waiting around the corner.
