As I pack my bags and gear up for another exciting trip, I can't help but feel a buzz of excitement and anticipation. Yes, it's that time of year again—I'm heading to Las Vegas as a guest of JCK, the most prominent jewelry trade show in the United States. For those of you who might not be familiar with JCK, let me give you a sneak peek into what makes this event a must-attend for anyone in the jewelry industry.

VicenzaOro is an international jewelry trade show in Vicenza, Italy, every January (and September). This year, the show takes place from January 20-24, 2023. And I can't wait to go, explore, get enchanted and meet you there! 

For all you gem lovers out there: Fura Gems is auctioning magnificent emeralds from Coscuez, Colombia. A unique opportunity for gemstone buyers to buy iconic and stunning emeralds, masterpieces by the nature of Coscuez.

Two very rare and beautiful emerald roughs weigh a whopping 81,2 carats and 83,8 carats each. Also up for auction are an impressive array of top-quality emerald roughs of more than 20 carats each.

The first physical jewelry show in Europe was, to put it mildly, a HUGE success. I want to share with you the three things that stood out to me on this show. The following blogs will be more about trends for the upcoming season(s) but first, let's talk about this fantastic show. 

In a world where Covid-19 was a 'local outbreak in China," I stepped confidently on an airplane for my biannual visit to VicenzaOro. It was January 2020, and the world would soon change completely.
But as vaccination rates rise and we understand more about organizing events in total safety, we long to leave those endless Zoom sessions and connect in real life again. And luckily, VicenzaOro, organized by the IEG, took a huge responsibility to make this possible.
To be honest with you: I can't wait to go!
